"i just found out today of mark s passing the lads will know me i lodged at marks house for a few years ive always kept in contact with mark over the years and he has become a great friend to me.im really finding it hard to take in mark was a really nice guy ive lost a truly good friend and a kind good heated soul.unfortunately for me im not in grimsby anymore and im now living in london its impossible for me to get to the funeral at such short notice but next time im in grimsby i will go to keelby church and pay my respect.i know a few of marks friends i cant speak for them but i know they will miss mark the way i will as well.my thoughts will be with all of marks family and friends on tuesday. from mark thompson london"

Suddenly on 30th. March 2008 in the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby, Mark, aged 49 years. Loving father of Andrew and Luke, very dear brother of Valerie and Ros, a dear uncle and cousin and the long standing friend Julie, Ian, Charlie and many others. Funeral service in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Keelby on Tuesday 8th. April 2008 at 2.30 pm. followed by interment in Keelby Cemetery.
